Unique things to do in Dazaifu Fukuoka

I'm Yumi Imamura, Japanese tea instructor.
We conduct Japanese tea workshops based on the concept of Amazing Tea Time Space. This time, we recommend Chakabuki of Japanese tea experience.
I suggest unique things to do in Dazaifu Fukuoka in winter and spring 2025.
Chakabuki is a tea guessing game that became popular among aristocrats and samurai in the Muromachi period (1336-1573) about 700 years ago.
This guessing game is said to be the origin of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony.
In this game participants guess what kind of tea they are drinking or its place of origin, competing to see who can guess the most correctly.
This is a Japanese tea tasting experience with an element of fun.
Contents of Chakabuki
1) Explanation of the history and rules of Chakabuki by a Japanese tea instructor.
2) Brewing of 3-4 types of Japanese tea by the Japanese tea instructor,
Tea tasting. (Learn about taste, aroma and colour).
The 3-4 types of Japanese teas are held with a specific theme each time, such as the type of tea (sencha, gyokuro, hojicha, stem tea, etc.), region of origin, variety, etc.
3) Start Game! Taste the tea using all five senses, guess the tea, and cast your answer in the ‘Chakabuki box’. This is a tea tasting experience with an element of fun.
4) Tea time is served with seasonal tea utensils and Wagashi sweets.
You can learn about "Japanese green tea" in a delicious and fun way.

■ Japanese tea instructor Yumi Imamura Born as the daughter of a Japanese tea specialty store in Fukuoka Prefecture,
she holds tea brewing classes in Japan and abroad, mainly in Fukuoka Prefecture, with the aim of spreading a rich life with tea.
In 2022, she founded Chajiyukukan .Inc , and in 2023, she was selected as the number one in Kyushu at the tea brewing contest "Encha Championship".
